1. Different Names:

Generlly, the surface of the cold-rolled stainless steel plate is bright, smooth and beautiful, which we generally call the 2B surface; the surface of the hot-rolled stainless steel plate belongs to the industrial surface, rough surface, and feels a little tactile, which we generally call it NO.1 surface.

2. Different Colors:

The stainless steel cold-rolled sheet has a smooth surface, and silver-white is the most common;

The surface smoothness of the hot-rolled stainless steel sheet is lower than that of the cold-rolled stainless steel sheet, and the color is darker than that of the cold-rolled stainless steel sheet, showing a gray-white color.

3. The Edges Are Different:

The stainless steel cold-rolled sheet has a finer and smoother texture with edges;

Stainless steel hot-rolled sheets are rough in texture, not good like the cold-rolled, and sometimes have irregular edges.

4. Features Are Different:

Cold Rolled Sheet:

1). Cold-rolled stainless steel has a certain degree of work hardening, low toughness, and high price;

2). The cold-rolled surface has no oxide scale, and the quality is good;

3). The products made by cold deformation have high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality.

Hot Rolled Sheet:

1). The toughness and surface flatness are poor, and the price is lower than cold rolled sheet;

2). The temperature of hot rolling is similar to that of forging;

3). The hot plate is processed by hot rolling, and the surface has oxide skin, and the thickness of the plate is bigger than cold rolled type.
